The weekend in review......

After a crappy day Saturday (the day was fine, the fishing just sucked....The Mackerel didn't show and the Bonito were hard to get and even our bonus Porgies didn't show up!) we had a great Night Bluefishing trip Saturday night and a good day of Bonito and Albacore fishing on Sunday.

On Saturday nights trip from 7:30pm till 2:30am we had lots of Bluefish in the 2-4lb range. The fish were mostly on top, so people could just float a piece of bait out (no weight) and bang away at them. The majority of the boat had their limit of 15 Bluefish. A few anglers even started dropping down deeper after they had their limit of Bluefish and picked up some nice Porgies to top off the evening!

Sunday's trip saw the Bonito back in biting form. We also had a number of Albacore on the boat as well. The Mackerel were there, you'd see them cruising through the chum slick, but they did not bite well so there were only a few here and there caught for the day.

Seth Goganicz from Parsippany, NJ had 4 Bonito, 2 Albacore and a few Mackerel, Li Yu from Wayne, NJ had 2 Albacore, 3 Bonito and some Mackerel, Kirk Davis from Rumson, NJ had a couple Bonito and Albacore, and Nicholi Kryvenka had a great day with 10 Bonito, 3 Albacore and the Pool Winning Mahi!

We will not be sailing tomorrow (Tuesday) or Wednesday due to the winds and rough seas. As of right now, unless the weathermen decide to change their minds again, Thursday looks like the next day we will be able to sail.

We have three limited, reservation only special 12 1/2 hour offshore Ling & Cod specials scheduled between now and the end of October when Sea Bass season reopens, fishing the 30-40 mile wrecks we can't typically reach on our normal day trips. Trips sail on Wednesday September 27th, October 4th and October 18th.
Please see our schedule for details about those trips and our daily fishing trips.

Once Sea Bass re-opens the end of October we will be fishing for Sea Bass, Sea Bass and oh yes, Sea Bass!!
